On June 5th, elections will be held for Kildare County Council and the European Parliament. Even if you are not an Irish or EU citizen, you may still be able to vote in the council election. Anyone legally resident in the country, and who has been at their address since last September is entitled to vote.

In addition, EU citizens living in Kildare can vote in the Ireland East European Parliament constituency. To do this, you will need to sign a disclaimer stating that you will not be voting in your home country for this election.

You can check if you are on the register via the web at www.CheckTheRegister.ie or by viewing the new register in your local library or Garda Station.

If you are not on the register, you can still get your vote for this June’s elections. You will need to complete form RFA2, and your signature must be witnessed by a member of the Gardaí. If you have any problems or questions, please send Tony a message via the form below.
